Tailored Service
Acuity Electronics'
mission is to take a leading role in the design of your electronics-based
product. Although no two jobs are the same, in a typical development project the
service offered would normally include many of these:
 | write a functional specification for the
product, and get it agreed |
 | ensure compliance with safety, emc and any other
formal approvals regulations
|
 | design the electronics, including any programmable chips |
 | liaise with other engineers on the same
project |
 | produce design support documents including parts lists,
circuit description, manuals
|
 | publish a project plan, and track progress |
 | organise
prototype build, functional test and compliance testing
|
By partnering with other specialists or the
client's own design engineers, the
service can include PCB layout, mechanical design, and embedded software.
Quality
Every customer
will receive a consistently high quality of service during the development, regardless of
whether the work is carried out at their own premises or in Acuity Electronics'
office. The guiding principles follow industry best practice:
 | A Design Specification records key decisions and
technical descriptions, for handover to the client's staff at the end of the
project. |
 | All work is backed up frequently, normally
weekly during active development, and the backups are stored away from the
office. |
 | A weekly written report is provided recording
progress, setting short-term goals, and highlighting any problem areas. |
 | At the outset, review points are set at which the client will be invited
to check and approve the work before it progresses to the next step. |
Confidentiality
The identity of one client is never disclosed
to another without permission.
